Admission Requirements
Identity Verification: In order to provide a safe and secure learning environment, admission to our college requires that all new credit applicants verify their identity. Applicants will need access to a computer or mobile device that has a camera in order to provide a real-time photo of themselves (Liveness Check) and upload a photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, ID Card, etc.).
PVCC has an open admissions policy. You may apply and register for classes if you:
• Are at least 18 years of age,
• Or, if younger than 18, you have a high school diploma, GED® or have taken placements tests.
Admissions Process
- Submit an Online Application
Admission is free. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a Student ID number and username. Make sure to keep this information for your records. - Apply for Financial Aid
All degree- and certificate-seeking students are encouraged to apply for financial aid. Financial aid may come in the form of grants, scholarships, loans, or work-study positions. - Meet with an Advisor
Make a phone or a Zoom (online platform) appointment for remote academic advisor help. If you are a recent high school graduate, email admissions@pvcc.edu for information about special high school advising events. - Register & Pay for Classes
Register for classes through MyPVCC at www.pvcc.edu/mypvcc How to Register for Classes. You will need the username and password you received after submitting your PVCC application and will be asked to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) MFA Setup.

- Pay for classes online through MyPVCC. Get assistance with billing and payment by calling 434.961.6545.

Complete PVCC's Virtual Orientation
Go2Orientation offers essential details, valuable resources, and next steps to help new students prepare for their first semester at PVCC. The virtual orientation typically takes 30-45 minutes to complete. Click Go2Orientation and enter your VCCS username and password to begin. If needed, click login instructions for additional instructions.
Looking for Non-Credit Classes or Short-Term Training Programs?
Through its Workforce Services Division, PVCC offers programming and short-term training for industry certification, professional development, career advancement, personal enrichment, and youth career education.
